Trituration is one of the oldest ways I know a substance. It is part of the traditional birth of a homeopathic medicine: a substance is ground slowly and rhythmically with mortar and pestle, layer after layer, watching... listening... waiting for what it chooses to reveal. Through trituration we come to know not only what a substance may heal, but what it may awaken... what it may open, expand, and draw us into.
We will move intimately, slowly and deliberately through the layers of our being: the physical... the mental and emotional... the spiritual... and finally into the ancestral threads held deep within us.
The blood your body has made every month since menarche... blood that carries your cellular memory, and your mother's, and her mother's, following the thread back to the first mother.
And in this work, the substance is our own menstrual bloodThis is not only a journey into what asks to be healed.It is an invitation to reach backwards through the red thread and remember, the gifts, the wisdom, the knowing, the instinct, the ancient capacities that belong to the women who came before us.
